Purple Sprouting Broccoli are tall broccoli plants which, instead of just one main head, are usually covered with petite, very sweet tasting purple crowns. Grown using organic practices. To store: rinse, pat dry, and store in the bottom crisper drawer in a produce bag. Use within a week.
The purple crowns turn green when cooked. You can eat the leaves and stalk as well, only discarding any really thick or woody stems. Purple sprouting can simply be steamed or boiled; it can also be roasted.
