Description
Grown by Ocean Air Farm (Ft. Dick, CA), this spicy Mesclun Mix is made up of baby lettuces and spicy greens, and makes for a wonderful spring salad. The traditional mix includes chervil, arugula, leafy lettuces and endive; occasionally, Ocean Air also adds baby spinach, collard greens, Swiss chard, mustard greens, frisée, mizuna, radicchio, sorrel, or other fresh leaf vegetables.
Beds are planted every few weeks, grown using organic practices, and are harvested at “baby” stage. The mix is washed, spun dry, and packaged into 8-ounce bags, ready for your dinner table. Just transfer the greens to a Rubbermaid or other similar container, store in the crisper, and use within the week.
