High Prairie Farm (Brookings) is growing a new (to us, at least!) slicing tomato known as “Estiva”. According to Johnny’s Seed, the Estiva is a “delicious slicer with impressive heat tolerance.” The plants produce lots of deep red fruit over a long season, which should mean we’ll see Estiva Slicers for a while! Estiva is normally a bit smaller than Beefsteak, but with a similar look and taste. Grown using organic methods.
