Description
Each summer, Norm Lehne Garden & Orchards in Roseburg harvests their small cherry orchard; they have both the yellow/red Rainier Cherries and the burgundy Bing Cherries, and there’s only enough for a few weeks, give or take, before they’re gone for the season.
The season starts with the Rainiers, followed by Bings a week or two later (the variety is specified above). Lehne’s fruit is grown using the IPM method: with their fruit trees, Lehne’s normally uses a dormant season spray to keep the pests under control, although generally, the fruit is not sprayed. That said, these cherries cannot be considered organic.
