Description
Pluots are a hybrid cross between a plum and an apricot. The “Flavor Queen” Pluot is a juicy and sweet fruit that is characterized by a smooth, velvety texture and rich, complex flavor – a blend of sweet plum and tangy apricot. The skin of the Flavor Queen Pluot is typically yellow/green, while the flesh is yellow or green; the fruit is typically in season in the late summer.
Grown by Smith River Organic Farm (Smith River) and “Registered Organic” in California – a special certification program meant specifically for small growers. Sold by the pound, with approximately 6 +/- per pound.
