Description
Poblano Peppers are grown by the Pistol River Pepper People (Pistol River) and Lehne Farms LLC (Roseburg); this is a mild chili pepper originating in the state of Puebla, Mexico. Dried, it is called ancho or chile ancho; stuffed fresh and roasted, it is popular in chiles rellenos. While Poblanos tend to have a mild flavor, occasionally (and unpredictably) they can have significant heat. Grown using organic methods.
Size varies, depending on time of year – in the summer, they’re stuffer size, but in the winter and spring, expect smaller versions.
