High Prairie Farm (Brookings) has started harvesting their “Sweet 100” Cherry Tomatoes this week and will be offering them by the pint throughout the season. Grown using organic methods.
Sweet 100 earned it’s name because it is said to produce “100” fruits per plant (although it can actually produce “hundreds”, rather than just “one hundred” per plant!) This hybrid cherry tomato variety produces incredibly tasty fruit; so sweet, in fact, that it’s known as “vine candy”! Most often used for snacking and salads, but suitable for cooking, freezing, and even pickling, too.
