Grown using organic practices by Valley Flora Farm (Langlois) and Norm Lehne Garden & Orchards (Roseburg), and coming to you from one or the other, as specified above. Acorn is a pretty good keeper, storing in your cupboard for 3 months or so. Each squash weighs approximately 2-1/2 lbs., just the right size for two people.
Cook them like you would any winter squash (cut them in half, scoop out the seeds, and put a pad of butter and a little brown sugar in the center, then bake). Or, check out this Acorn Squash recipe using cranberries and walnuts!
