Description
High Prairie Farm (Brookings) is growing the super sweet “Sungold” Cherry Tomatoes AND the sweetly yummy “Sweet 100” Cherry Tomatoes! Sold as a mix, by the pint, and grown using organic methods.
Sungolds have an intense fruity flavor, and are a big hit with everyone who tastes them. The bright apricot-orange round globes are 1 ¼ inches across and are borne on long, 10–15 fruit, grape-like trusses.
Sweet 100 earned it’s name because it is said to produce “100” fruits per plant (although it can actually produce “hundreds”, rather than just “one hundred” per plant!) This hybrid cherry tomato variety produces incredibly tasty fruit; so sweet, in fact, that it’s known as “vine candy”!
Remember: never refrigerate tomatoes – doing so will kill their unique, sun-kissed flavor! Instead, keep them on your counter, out of direct sunlight. They will continue to ripen, so plan to use them within the week.
