Jalapeno Peppers are one of the world’s best known spicy chili peppers. They are produced in huge numbers in Mexico and the United States and are used in a wide variety of cuisines across the globe..
The Scoville rating of the jalapeno pepper is 2,500 to 8,000 (the higher the Scoville measurement, the hotter the pepper.) Jalapeños are notably more tolerant of an arid climate, while many other varieties prefer more humidity.
Each container has a dozen or so peppers (approximately 8 oz.). Grown by High Prairie Farm (Brookings), using organic practices.
