Description
Suncrest Peaches are considered a “drip-down-your-chin” peach! One of the juiciest peaches around, with very firm, fine-flavored, yellow flesh. The bright red skin is simply beautiful. Considered a “freestone”. Suncrest is the peach immortalized by the book “Epitaph for a Peach: Four Seasons on My Family Farm”, by David Mas Masumoto (1995). Originated in Fresno, CA and was introduced in 1959.
Grown by Norm Lehne Garden & Orchard in Roseburg (the Umpqua Valley), using IPM growing methods. This variety is picked in early to mid August and is great for everything: eating, canning, freezing, drying.
