Description
Valley Flora Farm in Langlois grows Fava beans partly as a nitrogen fixer, partly because they’re just so darn good!
An ancient member of the pea family, they have a nutty taste and buttery texture all their own. Sure, they’re a bit of work – see this link, “How to Prepare Fava Beans“, if you’ve never done it or don’t remember how – but for those in the know, these are a wonderful treat that usually only come around for a short time in the late spring/early summer here on the Curry Coast.
Grown using organic practices. Store in the crisper in a produce bag for no more than a week.
