Description
Arugula is an edible leafy green from the Brassica family (the same family as Kale and Broccoli), normally used in salads for its sharp, peppery flavor. Norme Lehne Garden & Orchards (Roseburg) grows it using organic practices. Arugula (and Mizuna) are often an integral part of salad mixes known as “mesclun”.
To store, wrap the stems in a damp paper towel, then place the bunch in a plastic bag. This will keep it fresh for a day or two. Alternatively, you can store arugula like a flower bouquet, in a glass of water in the fridge.
