Description
Anyone who’s shopped the OtterBee’s stand at the Brookings Wednesday Farmers’ Market in past years knows what these little guys are – only the sweetest, ugliest, most amazingly candy-like fruit there is!
Beebe Farms in Central Point (the Rogue Valley) grows this little white nectarine, and, since we don’t know the varietal name, we’ve always called them “Ugliest Nectarine” (even Saul at Beebe’s doesn’t know what they’re called, but hey – some of Beebe’s trees are over a century old!)
What we do know is they’re super-sweet, very ugly (they bruise easily), and only around for a week or two. A favorite among OtterBee’s market customers! Grown using IPM methods.
