Alexandre Family Farm is a family grass-based organic dairy on the northern California Coast, producing organic milk in Crescent City, Smith River, Eureka, and Ferndale. Managed under traditional farming methods and strong organic principles, they have been certified organic for over 15 years.
If you walk the farm, you’ll see cows of all colors. In the beginning they focused on the registered Holsteins, but in the last 15 years they began crossbreeding Jerseys into the herd with a bit of other New Zealand and German breeds. They have also bred the last 3 generations of their cows to carry the A2A2 beta casein milk protein gene in their DNA, creating considerably higher health benefits. They are also free of the 7 amino acid segment, BCM-7 that is in A1A1 milk and is linked to Type 1 diabetes, heart disease, and autism.
Alexandre Family cows feed only on fresh pasture or dried forages and do not eat grain or soybeans; the family is passionate about this philosophy and the grass roots are literally at the heart of it. The Alexandres believe that what we eat should make us feel physically good; their grass-fed milk provides this due to the elevated nutrients like CLA, Vitamins and Omega 3 Fatty Acids.
Vanilla is an infused 4.5% A2/A2 organic milk, made with organic cane sugar, vanilla extract, and ground vanilla bean. OtterBee’s also carries Alexandre Family Farm’s 6% Whole Milk, Ginger/Turmeric Milk, and Chocolate Milk. All their milks are:
