Alexandre Family Farm is a family grass-based organic dairy on the northern California Coast, producing organic milk, cream and yogurt in Crescent City, Smith River, Eureka, and Ferndale. Managed under traditional farming methods and strong organic principles, they have been certified organic for over 15 years.
Half & half is simply a blend of equal parts whole milk and light cream. (Of course, because it’s from Alexandre Family Farm, this half & half is made using A2/A2 whole milk.) Half & half averages 10 to 12% fat, which is more than milk but less than light cream. Due to its lower fat content than cream, it can’t be whipped.
This is the larger, 28-oz. bottle; OtterBee’s Market also carries the smaller 16-oz. bottle.
Alexandre Family cows feed only on fresh pasture or dried forages and do not eat grain or soybeans; the family is passionate about this philosophy and the grass roots are literally at the heart of it. The Alexandres believe that what we eat should make us feel physically good; their grass-fed milk provides this due to the elevated nutrients like CLA, Vitamins and Omega 3 Fatty Acids.
