This artfully blended mixed milk cheddar is a match made in…Bandon! Face Rock Creamery combines locally-sourced cow’s milk (from Scolari Dairy in Coquille) with fresh sheep’s milk from the East Friesian Ewe flock (at Wild Rivers Lamb/Langlois Creamery in Langlois) to create their newest cheddar.
“Keeping our production local and supporting small Oregon dairy farmers is at the heart of our creamery. So we’re thrilled to be able to get our cow’s milk 15 miles east of the creamery, and our sheep’s milk is just 15 miles south,” shared Face Rock President Greg Drobot.
Face2Face Mixed Milk Cheddar is a beautifully balanced cheddar that offers a dense, creamy base from high butterfat cow milk and a slight salty piquancy from the sheep milk. Aged 12 months for buttery perfection.
Ingredients: Pasteurized cow’s milk, pasteurized sheep’s milk, salt, culture, enzymes. (please note: the image shows a 6oz. block, but the block you’ll get is an 8oz. block. Kathleen)
