A rich and velvety European style drinking chocolate, handcrafted using ethically sourced cocoa beans from the Sambirano valley in Madagascar. Mixed with crushed pieces of natural peppermint candy. (Note: this is NOT a powder, but actual Madagascar chocolate bits!)
“The Cacao from Bertil Akesson’s plantation in the Sambirano Valley of Madagascar is hands down some of the best and most consistent in the world. It was the first cacao we ever purchased and made into chocolate and continues to be one of our favorites. Classic citrus notes are balanced with fruit and nut. This chocolate continues to improve and challenge our pallets batch after batch.”
-ADAM DICK OWNER/HEAD CHOCOLATE MAKER
Using the finest cacao, and a modern take on traditional European technique, Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate (Eureka, California) is able to fully realize the potential of the beans they source. All of their chocolate is carefully crafted from the bean in their small factory in Northern California.
Mixing Directions: Heat 1/2 cup milk in a small saucepan until steaming (not yet boiling). Add 1/4 cup drinking chocolate and whisk vigorously over low heat until all chocolate is completely melted. Pour into espresso mug, sip and enjoy. For a lighter version use water; for decadence, use cream. Also exceptional in desserts, mochas, on ice cream, etc.
