OtterBee’s is two people…

…Husband and wife team, Rich and Kathleen Dickson.

What started in 2008 as a tiny “truck farm” and 20-member Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, has grown into what you see today: a thriving local food “aggregator”, sourcing local fruit, veggies, meat, dairy, sauces, fish, eggs, and more from within a 200-mile region, and bringing it to Wild Rivers Coast communities via the e-commerce store known as OtterBee’s Market!

Since moving to Oregon back in 2002, we have farmed together (2008-2014); bought and sold local fruits and veggies together (since 2005); harvested wild, edible mushrooms together (starting in 2002); and built OtterBee’s together!

Rich manages the “behind-the-scenes” activities: picking up the food from the farms and food producers; loading and unloading the product; and keeping the vehicles and shop maintained. He is also the one in charge of our dehydrated product line.

Kathleen is the “face” of OtterBee’s, doing most of the buying, selling, communicating, and bookkeeping for the company. She’s the one out there promoting local food, while Rich stays in the background. Together, they make a pretty efficient team!
