Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Super easy, and oh-so-yummy!! Much better than store bought, I think.

And since the southern Oregon coast is where the sweetest cranberries are grown, it makes sense to add homemade Cranberry Sauce to your list of locally-sourced side dishes with which to “wow” your friends and family!

INGREDIENTS
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
12 oz. fresh cranberries
2 tsp. orange zest
kosher salt

DIRECTIONS
In a small saucepan over low heat, combine sugar and water until sugar dissolves. Add cranberries and cook until they burst, 10 minutes. Stir in orange zest and a pinch of salt. Remove saucepan from heat and let cool completely, then transfer to a resealable container and refrigerate. Keeps in the fridge nicely for at least a week.
